Beethoven Project a Success!

In the fall of 2012 Cellist Ben Capps and pianist David Kaplan recorded the complete Beethoven Cello Sonatas at Vermont Public Radio's studio. The recording was broadcast with interviews from the artists in regards to these seminal works. They performed the complete cycle in a single concert on January 5, 2013. "The performances were passionate yet controlled, though never eliminating Beethoven´s improvised feel. These were expert performances, deeply felt." Rutland Herald.

Songs and Dances by Andrew Violette was recently released with Innova Records. "Young cello phenomenon from New York named Benjamin Capps has one foot in the uptown Manhattan barrio of his early years, another foot in that cathedral of midtown classicism, Juilliard, and another foot – okay, the instrument´s peg – on the road as the principal cellist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas…the irrepressible Ben Capps´s dazzling technique and a fearsomely meaty tone…make [Songs and Dances] a swinging experience." -The Holland Times.
